Uganda lies on an uplifted basin that lies between the eastern and western branches of the Great East African rift valley and most of the country is generally flat apart from the south western parts of Uganda which are mountainous with ranges like the Virungas(home of the gorillas) shared by Uganda, Rwanda and Congo, Trek Mountain Rwenzori, the highest mountain range in Uganda and Africa at large.
